A lyrical little fairy tale, beautifully written, about two boys toeing the line during the cultural revolution, and wooed by the mystery of illicit Western literature and one very beautiful little seamstress.

I enjoyed every word of this short book as I was reading it, but it left me as soon as I was done, aka, a nice snack.
