I see why kids love these books! They are funny, the characters are easy to connect with and each book has a fun little adventure. I'm glad my students talked me into bringing the series home for the summer to read.
And I came up with a fun creative writing activity that could be done with the a Capt. Underpants read aloud- at the beginning Harold and George brainstorm superheroes, come up with Capt. Underpants then make a comic. How much fun would it be to do this with kids?!?! And has all sorts of ELA elements to it.
