really liked it
Read in April, 2009

I just finished Messenger which is sort of a sequal to Gathering Blue and I must say I liked it more than Gathering Blue. It was very thoughtful and deep. I love her writing she is amazing. I never knew if her books were supposed to be in the past or the future. After reading this one I think they are in the future but they aren't more advanced than we are it's like society reverted back. It was a cute story of love and mystery. If anyone has read the Giver and were disappointed with the ending, this will fix that because Jonas' plays a large role in this book. It is the story of the village that Jonas ends up in. It was a fabulous book and I highly recommend it but you might want to read them in order, you don't have to but you would get more out of them, The Giver, Gathering Blue and then Messenger.
