Kat Engh Malachy McCourt, Amy Ferris, and Benita Garvin's stories all stick out to me the most as the stories that made me laugh so hard, I actually cried reading them. This isn't really just a book for people who are grieving over loved ones; everyone knows what it's like to lose something or someone they care about, and it's always those times where you can break the tears with a joke that you remember that things are going to be OK. This is a book full of those real-life moments from some of the most gifted writers of our time. How Benita Garvin takes the story of her parents' failed attempts at a double suicide and makes it is still amazing to me, but she does it!

This book is totally quotable, hilarious, and tender. If you don't love it, you may just need to lighten up! (just kidding...but really...it's funny!)
