I liked this for the same reason I liked "Persepolis 1" (graphic novel, bad class, simplistic yet ironic graphics), but the story interested me a little less. Where "Persepolis 1" was the story of Marji growing up during the turbulent Iranian Revolution, so that it was both biographical and an insider's view of the events of the time, "Persepolis 2" was more introverted, more a look at Satrapi's later years. As far as "world literature" goes, it doesn't have the same biting cynacism of its predecessor.
