** spoiler alert ** This book is about a guinea pig who tries to be "pig enough" for the pig scout troop. After an attempt to play an instrument, become an actor, and an athlete, Willy decides he must find something else. He goes camping and is paired up with Peyton, who laughs and teases the social Willy for not looking so much like a pig. The duo falls into a cave where they lose the rest of their troop. They must collaborate to find their way out. Peyton realizes Willy is "pig enough" when he digs a hole for the two of them to escape and whistles as a signal for the troop to find them.

I liked this book for a read aloud because Janie Bynum does a wonderful job of specifically depicting what is happening. The illustrations are I also love the lesson and message of the book. I think it tells its reader to never judge someone based on the way they look. You never know when you need that person as a companion and, in this case, a life-saver.
