really liked it
bookshelves: picture-story-books, read-aloud

This was another one of my favorite books growing up. It is a great read aloud and children seem to really enjoy it. You can even purchase a plush Stellaluna toy. This is a story about a bat that is separated from her mother by an attacking owl and falls into a bird's nest. The orphaned fruit bat who desperately wants to fit in with a group of baby birds. The birds come to accept her and embrace her differences. She is reunited with her mother in the end. The story is heart-warming and resinates with you. The illustrations are also fantastic. Overall it sends a good message!
