really liked it

What a strange, disturbing future Shusterman paints in his Unwind-able universe! That being said, I couldn't put it down. From the hopelessness of Connor's parents (who committed on an angry whim to a hopelessly disgusting act), to the overfilled orphanage who has to sell off children to keep functioning, to the blindly trusting "tithe," Lev - I totally bought into the story. That being said, I can't believe that the dystopic society created in Unwind would ever happen. But IF it did, I think we'd see a lot of the same reactions as those of the Unwinds, and the people who try to fight the system. I'm looking forward to the second book!! And the part where he explores the Unwind process? I was horrified, disgusted (and I cried!), but enthralled. Crazy world view!
