This is one of the best books, period, that I've read in the last three years. I think it would be very helpful, however, to have read some of the earlier works in this series. That will make you really have a feel for the characters.

Periklis I'm planning on reading White Wolf. The only other Gemmell book I've read (and loved) so far is Legend. I'd appreciate any suggestions regarding this.

Charles Perilis, I thought all of the "Drenai" series was good, although I thought Waylander was the weakest of that series. A very good one is "The First Chronicles of Druss the Legend," which precedes "Legend" in time. Also good is "The Legend of Deathwalker," also about Druss. White Wolf was good. There's a Wikipedia entry about the Drenai series Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drenai_S...
