The heroine, Grace, is my least favorite type in the romance genre. Sophisticated, wealthy, unbelievably good looking, manipulative . . . and that being said, Ms. Roberts managed to give Grace enough depth to pull every one of my heartstrings. By the end of the book, I was ready to strangle Seth for not seeing below the surface to the real Grace. The extra-sensory elements could have been edited out with no adverse effects to the story. It's a good thing I can do that without half trying. The rest of the story is great and the suspense at certain points is heart-stopping. In many ways, this book is my favorite of this series, although MJ remains my favorite heroine of the three. The scenes with the babies in the hospital are tender and heart-warming. One ends with the hero showing up; the other with the villain. The juxtaposition was well-done on the part of Ms. Roberts. The beginning of the book re-uses the plot-line that starts Laura, a favorite book of mine, so, although I pretty much knew what was going to happen when Seth stood there staring at Grace's portrait on the wall, I loved the idea enough to enjoy reading it again. As someone famous (I don't know who) once said, there are no original ideas anymore. They've all been used.
