This is one of those books that I read over and over. The tale of an underdog woman whose character is "good" and is continually saved by her guardian. Very Koontz-like in his good vs evil line of thought. I love the characters, especially the "guardian" because Koontz wrote him to be a good guy with some bad tendencies. Very feel good for a day when you need to have some interesting entertainment and have the bad guys bite it time after time.
