bookshelves: author-signed, paranormal-romance, re-read
Read from July 22 to 30, 2012

This first novel in a brand new paranormal romance trilogy by debut author Kira Brady is wonderfully fresh and unique. Fans of urban fantasy or paranormal novels should not miss this one! The world is fascinating and unlike anything you've read before. Taking place in a present day alternate reality Seattle, this story is a fresh blend of animal and dragon shifting clans and Native American, Babylonian and Norse based mythologies. So awesome. As you can imagine, the world, the series premise and the story are both clever and imaginative. The story is an intriguing story of two opposing shifter clans vying for control of a gate between this world and the spirit world. Woven within this intense plot is a compelling romance between an outcasted animal shifter who is working off a blood debt to the dragon shifter Lord and a human woman determined to uncover the truth behind her sister's death and the mysterious clues she left behind. I'm telling you, don't miss this one! I'm already waiting rather impatiently for the second book in the trilogy, Hearts of Shadow due out next spring.
