Becky's review
Loving Frank: A Novel
by Nancy Horan
I will. It's strange...I read in two days almost the entire book, stopping, I believe, right where the you know what is to occur, which was about two weeks ago. Terrible! I am amazed by my Goodreads friends that actually finish books! ha.
On a tour yesterday, I was talking about the first fire, and a woman covered her ears. I asked if she thought the story was too gruesome, so she didn't want to hear it. "No," she replied, "I'm reading the book."

I wonder what it would be like to read this book NOT knowing the ending...I should probably read some other reviews. I think that may weigh heavy on a reader's reaction/lingering thoughts. Yes, I think for some, this book could easily linger. I found the way she melded truth, character, settings, art and the time period into this survival of romance and individuality very smart. Some beautiful sentences.
