Book #45 of 2012

Although I liked the first book a bit better (and spent awhile re-reading it so I was up to speed before starting this one), I still enjoyed this book. Diana and Matthew travel back to 1590. I needed to read this with wikipedia handy, though, since I am not a historian and there were VERY many real life characters I knew nothing about though the writing suggested I should. Not that it bothered me, though. I know I will want to read the first two books again before the third book comes out... though I might have to spread it out a bit better. These are LONG books, and although I am a normally quick reader, these take me awhile. And two back-to-back 600+ page books of the same story got a little... tedious I guess. But that is also something I like about them. I savor the story a bit more, since it takes me longer to read. Excited for book #3!
