This is the second book in the Home Valley Amish trilogy, following Fall From Pride, and it focuses on a character that appeared in the first: Hannah Esh. Hannah's book begins explosively, with the murder of a worldly friend in an Amish graveyard. The progress of solving the mystery and the revelations about Hannah's past make for a fascinating read. We also get a glimpse of Sarah, the main character from Fall From Pride and an update on her life. I am very much looking forward to the third, especially after reading Karen's note at the end, with its little teaser about it!
