Not a book to read aloud--half the fun is in the visual effects Juster creates with the text. How to really convey the image of the tiny word "but" half-formed on the lips, then falling gently into a weapon that can tear apart castle walls? Or the spelling puns that appear on almost every page? This book never ceases to make me happy.
