bookshelves: all-time-favorites, mystery, fiction, short-stories

Some of the most fun adventure stories out there, the kind of stuff that you read as a little kid with a flashlight in bed, and they're still that good even if you're grown-up. Doyle makes the mysteries exciting, the characters entertaining, and Holmes's gradual unfolding of the solution a delight to read. "The Valley of Fear" and "The Six Napoleons" are my personal favorites, but they're really almost all very good.
