The Calvin and Hobbes series was a large part of my childhood and kept me entertained even if I didn't understand all of Watterson's ideas that he brought up (such as conservation and reflections on childhood). It's a good series to read again, reminding me of growing up, and also bringing up issues that adults can relate to.
Of course... it's just fun to read a latchkey child's adventures too.
