it was amazing
bookshelves: all-time-favorites, fiction, translations-into-english, magical-realism

Manages to be beautifully written without being bombastic, manages to be epic without being impersonal, manages to weave countless threads together without losing coherence, manages to have a story that will appeal to just about everyone. In short, one of the finest pieces of literature out there. This is what fiction was meant to be.
