So very glad I finally got to read this one. It's as funny as Agent to the Stars and maybe not quite as cute as Fuzzy Nation, but far more tongue-in-cheek.

I thought at first that, not being a Star Trek fan, it might be too niche for me. Not at all the case.

I was a little disappointed at the first ending, thinking it wrapped up too neatly and was guilty of some of the plot devices that it accused Star Trek-like shows of using. But the three codas -- particularly the last -- gave a more believable face to the entire book.

Fun, fun stuff. And add standalones like this to Old Man's War, and I'm wildly in love with Scalzi.
