This book is one of the best from 2011-so I went for it, even if it is about baseball- not high on my list of interests.

The book has a strong start- very funny, well written, interesting characters, but somehow I got a little bored (and disappointed) by the end.

There are some fun connections to the classics with Herman Melville's Moby Dick and the imaginary Art of Fielding text for shortstops. The author left something to be desired in the sex elements of the book, which unfortunately, play a great part in the plot. They were certainly not very endearing or really totally believable.

Surprisingly, the baseball connections were the best part of the book and what made me give the book its four stars. Still all in all, a fun light-hearted read and worth the time.
