it was amazing
bookshelves: ya

This is one of those books where the concept totally works and is matched by fantastic characterization. Imagine if you were in an accident that wiped your memory from grade seven on? When the seventeen year old narrator of this book wakes up in the hospital she doesn't recognize her best friend, her boyfriend, or remember her parents are divorced. As she tries to reconcile the "old" her with the "new" her, she realizes she has a blank slate and a chance to start over. This book works for avid AND reluctant readers, no small feat in this age group. Totally stellar.
