I found this to be an unexpectedly beautiful book and one of the best I’ve read in a long time. I am a gardener and love flowers and the mystical way this book spoke through the flowers was very unique and magical. I will never remember all the different definitions but will look at flowers differently after reading this book. I also like the way the book weaves the stories back and forth between Victoria in her early years and current. Her story broke my heart and as I read it I was silently urging her on. When you see how much even a small decision can affect a broken child it (almost) makes you want to run out and adopt. The supporting cast of strong, interesting characters were wonderful too. Ultimately Vanessa Diffenbaugh teaches us that we are not perfect but always worthy of love. Highly recommended.
