This is my very first graphic novel. I slowed down and took my time to appreciate the art, which BTW, was fabulous. I am glad I bought the harcover because this will be a great addition to my bookshelf.

As far as the content goes it was a mixed bag for me. While reading I thought of those old "kids" bibles that tell stories with pictures. It had a ton of religious references. References to how religion affects our sexuality and the struggle between the guilt of sexuality and what is considered good/evil. It touched on our humanity and how we treat our planet. It touched on the complex dynamics of relationships. It just touched on a whole bunch of things. I would have preferred a little more depth into one or two subjects. It seemed to skim so many and left a lot for your own personal interpretation.

I could probably read this book again in the future and have a totally different perspective. I don't know if this is good or bad.

I know this, I want to read other graphic novels so the book was not horrible.
