really liked it

Wish that I could give it 4.5. A lovely blend of running history, anthropology, science, and narrative. It took me 50 pages to really get into it (it was a bit too schizophrenic before then, and even after it reads like stitched journal articles), but then I couldn't put it down (the stories are too compelling). The book was extremely motivational, especially for women and those who've been around for a while; did you know that women are better than men at running ultramarathons and that a 65-year-old can run as fast as his/her 19-year-old self? Now, I want to be a runner for life. Recommend for all.
