Interesting book depicting the life of a German family during WWII. Very depressing as it showed the life of a family who were against the war, rather than a family pro-Hitler. It was written from the viewpoint of Death (the character, not the state of being) which made for a fascinating writing style which I had to get used to at first, but then really enjoyed.
