Fallon Jones – featured in several other books in the Arcane series, is now the focus of this book. I relished the opportunity to learn more about Fallon. A bit disappointing on that score; though you do learn more about Fallon it is certainly not in depth view. You do get to see; though, that Fallon is not just the cold, brusque and analytical head of the Jones & Jones Agency, who just lives for his job. It’s nice to find a Jones boy that doesn’t practically rape his future wife when he meets her. They teetered on the edge in some of the other books.

If you’ve read any of the Arcane series, they are fairly predictable and a bit shallow at times. That doesn’t mean they’re not fun. I did enjoy the book. I took every free time opportunity to read it, which I don’t always do during a work week. It did capture and hold my interest.
