it was amazing
bookshelves: harlequin-teen

Wow - I finished this book in just two sittings and not once did I want to stop. Usually I am not much of a fan of contemporary, but I highly enjoyed reading Speechless, Hannah Harrington's second novel. When reading this, I really felt that I was the character. I felt like I was awkwardly in high school again wiTh my own vow of silence. It was fantastic how this novel breached so many current topics facing teens, such as bullying, gossip, 'mean girls,' subjects of sexuality and the reluctance of teens to accept what is different and foreign to them. Wish I could have had a book like this to read when I was in high school -- maybe I wouldn't have been so self conscious and so speechless.
