When I first read the synopsis of Talisman of El, I was very excited to read it. I thought it was a book that I would definitely like. However, after I started to read it, I just couldn't get into it. I couldn't identify with any of the characters. None of the characters stood out as memorable for me. The plot got very confusing at times. There were a lot of words and names of things that sounded the same. I thought that the whole trip to find the Garden of Eden was very confusing, especially when Charlie was trying to bring Derekin back from the dead. I must say, I do love the cover of the book, but it couldn't redeem the book. Talisman of El took me over a month to read. Several times, I put it down and didn't want to pick it back up. I finally finished ir though. I will not be continuing with this series in the future.
