This is our book group's selection for March 2012. It is not a book that I would have chosen, since I prefer fiction, but it was an enjoyable read. Though I have read a number of books about WWII, there were details in this that I hadn't encountered. It was interesting to see how the relationship between Franklin and Eleanor deteriorated, and how she coped with his seeming indifference. At times, there were passages where the writing dragged, and I lost interest momentarily. In the last section about how Eleanor coped after Franklin's death, again there was repetition, and it needed to be tightened up.
