I enjoyed this book, but I felt like Moning was trying too hard to have a real plot overlap her wanton romance novel. You can definitely see her Fever books taking shape in the writing of these. I think maybe I didn't like Dagaus as much as Drustan or maybe I didn't like Chloe as much as Gwen, I dont' know. I did like seeing Silvan and Nell again, as well as the Queen, knowing what we do about her from the Fever books. We'll see how the next one goes. I didn't read the first three books so I haven't encountered Adam's character before this so I'm not really invested in hearing his story, but I'll probably read it anyway.
