Read in February, 2012 — I own a copy, read count: 1

The World of Downton Abbey, by Jessica Fellowes (the director's wife). This show is my new obsession! So in addition to catching up on Season One via video, I treated myself to this book (on iPad). The photos are a big draw, and the writing includes more / deeper references to the history and culture of the times than can be included in the show, so it is good at providing additional context to those of us who enjoy that. Perhaps the best part is the bibliography, which lists additional resources for going deeper (which I want to do). The only reason I'll give it 4 stars rather than 5 is that it's a big choppy, jumps around between topics. But if you like the show, I predict that you'll like this companion piece!

Stephanie Jessica Fellowes is Julian Fellowes' niece, not his wife, and he is the creator and writer of Downton Abbey, not the director. Just so you know.
