really liked it

I read this a long time ago, and am rereading in the interests of my spy course and recent pop culture meeting on the cold war and spy genre.

Man, I love this book. It is hysterically funny, yet such a good, cynical look at spying and how people are manipulated. (I'm saying this badly. Hopefully, I will make more sense when I'm done.) Love it.

This is a really terrific book. As I read, it became far less comic, and much more serious. This is fine, but that, I think, is the reason why I ended up giving it 4 stars. Also, the last line(s) was a bit ambiguous to me and I would love feedback on it. But wow is Graham Greene wonderful.
