A dull murder/courtroom "thriller" with a twist at the end that made me roll my eyes. Andy, the main character, was the only believable part of this story. His wife, Laurie, and son, Jacob, were (at best) so irritating that by the end, I was done with the both of them. I kept waiting for something - anything - that would redeem this novel, but I can't say I found it. Reviews looked promising (comparing it to Anatomy of a Murder and Presumed Innocent) but were grossly misleading. Ugh.

Not recommended. Still on the hunt for a good courtroom thriller - hold the cheese.
