really liked it
bookshelves: historical-romance, historical-fiction

I would classify this book as historical fiction with romance in it. The setting is the New York frontier in the late 1700's. I think the author took the characters from the movie last of the Mohicans, then wrote the story of what happened to Hawkeye and Cora's son. The book was very interesting. The secondary characters and the setting were described in great detail. This book is the beginning of a series but I haven't read the rest of the books yet. I think the rest of the books might be even more historical fiction with little romance.

Shelly I just started this, but I haven't seen The Last of the Mohicans, hope I don't miss too much because of this.

MelissaB It won't matter! But it's a great movie so I highly recommend watching it.

If you like this time period and haven't read them yet, I highly recommend Surrender (MacKinnon’s Rangers, #1) by Pamela Clare, Untamed (MacKinnon's Rangers, #2) by Pamela Clare and Ride the Fire (Blakewell/Kenleigh Family Trilogy, #3) by Pamela Clare

Shelly Thanks, I haven't, and will add them to the TBR pile!
