How to Be Black

LOL, that's what this book made me do page after page. Don't be fooled or turned off by the title, if you need oxygen to breath and have blood flowing through your vains this book is for you. It was such a refreshing and comedic approach to a topic that has and always been very sensitive - race. I found myself relating to some stories and baffled by others, however if our society is taking steps to end racism and become more united, this book needs to be a part of the curriculum.
At the end of this book I realized, I don't know what it is to be black, I only know what it is to be me. And, through my own experiences in life I have defined my own blackness, which does not fall within the stereotypes society has constantly put forth.
