it was amazing
bookshelves: own-on-kindle, read-in-2012, mermaids, 1st-in-series

I loved this story. Marina, a young girl raised by her father, is sent to live with her aunt and cousin for a year. During that time, she learns about her mother, her birthright and about the power of love. She goes through a lot of pain to find out who she really is but finds out half of what she needs to know. I really look forward to reading the sequel, I hope that it tells how her mother and father met and why her mother choose to become human.
It is full of magic and it really put me right there in the story, making me want to actually go to the beach to find mermaids! I am a true believer of everything mystical and this was amazingly written and the details of the mermaids was wonderful.
I can not wait to start "The Moon and The Tide".
