Probably the best teen ghost story I've read. A bit of romance, a bit of family conflict, and really well developed characters. Alexis, 15, struggles with her family, school administrators, and social scene. She doesn't quite fit in anywhere, but won't compromise in order to. She knows her younger sister's always been different (socially awkward), but now it's geeting really creepy. Goings on in the home seems sinister, and a bit of research tells Alexis what she doesn't want to know- and can't really believe- her sister is possessed by a ghost. But who, and why, and how to stop it, are dealt with in a gripping multi-storyline that helps her bridge social lines, change family relationships, and find out about herself. Many tried-and-true ghost tale fixtures (doors slamming, whispers in the night, glowing lights) are present, but they don't feel tired. A wonderful concluding chapter is a don't miss!
