it was amazing
bookshelves: memoir
Read in June, 2007

Best book I've read this year so far. I was drawn to it naturally because it's the memoir of a comedy writer (Strangers with Candy) who grew up in a very religious family in the South, but I think anyone with any background will recognize pieces of their own childhoods in it. It's hilarious, shocking, moving, and impossible to put down. I love this book and can't wait for Sarah Thyre to write another one.
