really liked it

Lisabeth is an anorexic 17 year old and she has just been tapped as the new "Famine" of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. From this interesting and unique premise, Kessler has created a great story about self-image, life, death, and facing one's own demons. Lisabeth is an intersting character and the book is definitely a page-turner. At times, though, even I was a bit confused so I wondered if teens will get all the symbolism and allusions to biblical and literary themes.

All in all, though very readable & there is a strong message for teen girls about inner strength.
