James Hi Jodi,
I'm enjoying it so far. I'm not sure if it's my favourite Bolano (that would be 2666), but it's still worthwhile. You should definitely get around to it soon!

Jodi So far I've read 2666, By Night In Chile, and The Skating Rink. Yeah, it's hard to beat 2666. Of the other two I liked The Skating Rink better. I think that's mainly because By Night In Chile had so many literary references that it was a bit over my head, though I still enjoyed it very much. Bolano's writing has so many layers, which usually isn't a problem for me, but for me BNIC was like eating a multilevel layer cake without the frosting in the middle.
