I agree it's weird to read a book this big in one evening. I liked it--didn't love it. The IDEA of having one story in words and one in pictures, and they eventually intersect, is so cool.

I think I connected much more with Hugo Cabret than the protagonist of this story. However, I think I liked the ending better on this one. The movie history connection in Hugo didn't really do much for me, while the cool museums and family connections were more interesting in this one.

The art is awesomely awesome and I ached for the little girl. Great plot...then super skip ahead. It seemed like we needed a little more closure on the past.

By the end, I liked all of the main characters, but didn't feel like I really liked Ben's mom. She came off as really selfish.

So liked it. Loved the pictures. Didn't love the story. But I liked it. Worth reading for the innovative design.
