The Ninth Step is a realistic, engrossing and thought provoking novel about love, loss and forgiveness.
The story is based on the Ninth Step of AA's 12 Step Program. It is to make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
This authors writing skills created believable characters that made me feel as if I was standing there watching their lives unfold. They dealt with addiction, abuse, coming to terms with their tragic pasts and making amends.
Ms. Sissel took my emotions on a roller coaster ride and had me completely riveted to the very end.
