Imagine taking a trip to your local dentist. You arrive to a classic waiting room and grab a boring magazine. While reading it you wonder what kind of horrible germs you've contracted from the other slovenly pigs who have touched this bio-chemical transport device. You probably have MRSA by now, but you put that thought aside for the time being, for you have something far more important to do.

In the actual lair of dentistry, you're placed into a chair with a ridiculously bright light and someone with a degree in Philosophy pokes at your mouth for a while with a really sharp thing. If something hurts, they will probably poke it another 45-79 times in order to make sure it actually hurt and that it wasn't just a fluke. They then perform one of life's most difficult tasks - the brushing of the teeth. You wash out the toothpaste with some delicious acid, irritating the cuts they recently created on your gums.

After this exciting ordeal is complete, an actual dentist takes a look at your mouth and congratulates the hygienist on their success.

This book isn't anything like that.
