I have a deeply unironic love for this book. It is a little new-agey and simple, but it reminds me of Peter Carey's Bliss that way. I have a deep, deep love for books about found or created community/family, and this is definitely one of those. The mysticism that creeps in is, well, whatthefuckever, but mostly it is funny and sweet and caters to my taste gorgeously. Your mileage may vary.
