Beloved by Toni Morrison is about love and the many aspects of it. Love is not only the happily-ever-after kind many of us grew up with, nor is it the tragedy but sweet Romeo and Juliet kind that is too well known. Love is also about losing and being haunted by its past, and that is exactly what Toni Morrison deals with in her novel Beloved.

Truth be told, Beloved just was not for me. I am very particular when it comes to books, but that said Beloved is not a bad novel. On the contrary, which you might find hard to believe because of my poor rating, the novel deals with important themes. but That said, Beloved is definitely not for everyone.
