For a companion book (or a handbook), I have to say that I am impressed...I finally read a comanion book that I actually enjoyed reading! The book took 2 weeks to read, but it was worth the reading. You read about Sam's brother's wedding..There are recipes in this book (I definitely like this section!)...You learn about the novellas that Charlaine Harris writes, which are related to the Sookie Stackhouse series...You also read a very extensive chapter that lists each character that is in the series...I do have to admit that the character chapter is a bit long, and can be repetitive at times (especially if the charactes are family members)..However, this chapter was good review for me for two reasons: 1) I lost count of how many books there are in the series 2) I remember who Eric, Sookie, Bill, Sam, Jason, Niall, Claude, Claudine, and Pam are..but I get everyone else mixed up!
