I am disappointed that this was the first Jane Green book I have read because I have read good reviews about her. I understand that she needed to write this book. However, I did not like it and I struggled to finish it. I thought that maybe the book was meant to be more of a celebration of Callie's life, rather than about her passing which is why the character of Callie was just so perfect. Personally, I don't particularly like perfect characters. Especially ones this perfect. Also, the overuse of the word love annoyed me to no end, as did awesome. Which brings me to my next criticism. I didn't feel the emotion as much as I think I should have felt. This is not just in Callie's death, but also in the love between the other characters. I just didn't feel it. That being said, I feel for Jane as one should never have to go through such experiences.
