Museum Trip is a simple children's picture book without text. The book is written by Barbara Lehman, and offers an excting plot with only illustrations. The book follows the adventures of one young boy set off on a class field trip to the museum! The young boy wanders off by himself and experiences new and intriguing things with in the walls of the museum. He discovers secret maps that take him on wild chases through intricate mazes. The book is simply full of adventure and intrigue for a young reader! The unique part about this book is it contains no text, it is simply a book full of illustrations. The story is powerfully conveyed through the pictures, and leaves the written word up to the imagination of the reader. I think that this book would be a great read for younger students around grades K-1. The simplicity of the book would allow the imagination of any young reader to soar! As a teacher, I would like to incorporate the book into a lesson about imagination, and story telling. Each child could create their own story based on the illustrations throughout the book. The illustrations were wonderfully created, and offer a great way for children to escape into the plot of the book. Overall, I really enjoyed this picture book.
