Where Men win Glory is a book about a man who is named Pat Tillman. He was a very courageous man. The book starts off by telling about how Tillman grew up. Where he lived, who his parents were, what his values are. Tillman had a very fun and adventurous childhood and growing up to be young adult. When he was even very young he always went after what he wanted and worked hard to get there. His coach told him that he probably wouldn't be able to play football because of his size, so what did Tillman do? He wanted to show his coach that he could, so he joined the team. After being on the football team for high school he played in college and then eventually in the NFL. He was drafted into the Arizona Cardinals. But in 2004, he walked away from a multi-million contract with the Cardinals to serve in Afghanistan.
i thought this book was an amazing story about Tillman's life, but the book doesn't really start until page 230, at least for me. The pages before that are about Tillman's early life and his NFL career, which is interesting but the real action starts later in the book. The book was a little boring at first, but once you get into it, it's an amazing book about a man being truly selfless and serving his country.
